DescriptionThe Kingdom of Tai Houn is inspired by a vintage textile from our Heritage Textile Collection, one of the most extensive in all of Laos and a constant source of inspiration for our weaving and design teams.Two Naga motifs—the Naga diamond and Naga boat—feature prominently in the center, while flowers, swans and dancing Nagas are depicted along the top and bottom borders.The ancient Tai Houn Kingdom was situated near Beng River in Oudomxay Province, north of Luang Prabang. The Tai Lue communities here are particularly devout followers of the Naga spirit, and this mythical river serpent appears frequently in their textiles.
