The pattern is created using supplmentary silk threads, a highly skilled formed of weaving.The central diamond motif is taken from a traditional cloth that tells the love story of how a mythological naga fell in love with a beautiful weaver. In the story he disguised himslef as a chicken and stole her shuttle and ran back to the river with the weaver in chase. Eventually the weaver fell in love with the naga and they married. He was able to live 6 months on land as a man and 6 months in the river as a naga.This cushion is made with handspun silk, from Bombyx Mori cocoons. Features a lined interior and zip closure.
