The Akha use antique silver coins and Job’s Tear beads to decorate their clothing and head wraps.Our co-design collaboration resulted in an idea to upcycle aluminium cans to make little coin-like disks and stitch them onto handwoven indigo cotton. We’ve incorporated the Job’s Tears along the trim, to help frame the clutch.
