Just fill the tool’s body with oil, connect to the Zerk fitting, and gently tap repeatedly to pressurize the oil and force it into the joint, until the new oil has fully displaced the old, hardened grease. Like magic, all of a sudden you will feel the joint open and the joint or pin can then be greased.
