Description On this beginner friendly silver metal clay jewellery workshop you will create either a pendant, earrings or keyring using fine silver metal clay which you can texture with stamps, texture matts, moulds, leaves or just about anything! You can also add gemstones or copper balls if you’d like to add a bit of colour. Then choose how to finish it – matt, satin, polished or oxidised. You will have enough silver to make one or two pieces depending on their size and thickness. You will learn all about silver clay and how to mould, cut and texturise it, as well as adding gemstones and firing your piece with a small blow torch. A sterling silver chain, ear wires, stud backs, jump rings and split rings are all provided to finish your piece. Additional chains will be available to purchase on the day. Refreshments Tea, coffee and homemade gluten free cake will be provided (not made in a controlled gluten free kitchen). Other information Feel free to bring your own textures and shapes from your home and garden – leaves, bark, lace, buttons, anything that will press into clay! Age restrictions This Silver Metal Clay Beginners Jewellery Workshop (Breage) is suitable for anyone aged 14 14-16 year olds must be accompanied by a full paying adult (18 ) Getting there Breage is just a few miles from Helston and is easily accessed by car and bus. The nearest bus stop is Shute Hill, the U4 bus stops here. Parking is available in nearby streets. Cancellation A minimum of 3 people is needed to run this workshop. In the event that I need to cancel the workshop for any reason, including lack of numbers, you will be offered a choice of a new date or a full refund. If you need to cancel for any reason up to 1 month before the workshop, I will offer you another date if available. If this is not an option, a full refund minus a small admin charge) will be given up to 1 month prior to the workshop. Thereafter no refund or new date will be given.
