The violin is produced with European spruce to produce truly outstanding power and tone It has an amber spirit varnish, hand-applied to the violin for a beautiful finish. The full size Master series Stradivarius Violin has ebony fingerboard, and fittings. The instrument is set up with Larsen Virtuoso strings by a luthier in our workshop. We don’t agree with different levels of set-up – every instrument we sell has a ‘gold’ level set-up included as standard. We operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument, regardless of level, to exact standards and specifications. A set-up in our workshop includes shaping and cutting the bridge, lubricating the pegs, rosining the bow and adjusting the soundpost. Instruments are shipped with the bridges up.
