It uses the linear curve for predictable braking which is achievable with Shimano’s engineering and sleek design. The BR-R7000 brake caliper is compatible with both carbon and non-carbon brake pads. The Shimano BR R7010 Brake Caliper is intended to mount on the rear seatstay and is compatible with wider tires up to 28C. It needs an Inline cable adjuster (SM-CB90) for cable adjusting and quick-release features.
