Available in three colour options and four sizes. The outfit is fully set-up in our workshop with the factory fitted steel strings or you have the option of upgrading the violin by upgrading the strings. Upgrading the strings to a branded, recognised set will further enhance the instrument giving it a warmer and fuller sound. We offer here two of the most popular set-ups as standard options: set up with Prelude strings, a well known steel string by D’Addario or Thomastik Alphayue strings, a superb synthetic core string. Instruments not properly set up can have a detrimental effect on the players progress, even leading to the player being put off for life. At Caswells we operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument, regardless of level, to exact standards and specifications. This includes cutting the bridge and top nut, setting the soundpost, and lubricating the pegs. Instruments are shipped with the bridges up.
