The Hidersine Vivente Viola outfit is an excellent quality student instrument made for the world famous Hidersine company. The Vivente is recommended to see you through the first 4-5 grades. It is set up as standard with factory fitted strings but we also offer here a choice of options for upgrading the instrument – either D’Addario Prelude, Pirastro Tonica or Thomastik Dominant strings – any of these will have a marked difference on the sound of the instrument, giving it a fuller and warmer tone. Instruments not properly set up can have a detrimental effect on the players progress, even leading to the player being put off for life. At Caswells we operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument, regardless of level, to exact standards and specifications. This includes cutting the bridge and top nut, setting the soundpost, and lubricating the pegs. Instruments are shipped with the bridges up.
